Felt

Felts are characterized by their low weight, high tensile strength, low thermal conductivity and particularly good processing options. Like all fiber products, felts are available from both ceramic and bio-soluble fibers for temperatures up to 1600C.
On customer request, the felt can also be specially cut / punched to obtain the desired shape.

Typical applications:

• High-temperature seals
• Ingot mold
• Heat protective lining and silencer insulation for the automotive industry
• Backing insulation in liquid-metal distribution channels
• Filling material for expansion joints
• Insulation for induction furnaces
